educational philosophy |
On beng a professional teacher…Standards, rules and on-going education all play their part in my role as a professional teacher. It’s important to me that I maintain high personal, academic and moral standards so that I can be a role model and an influence with sincerity and authenticity. The dynamics of teaching is but the dynamics of life…curiosity, wonder an enthusiasm need to be in constant stimulation. On classroom management…I see classroom management as having three distinct but related focuses. First is the plan for scheduling and socializing students into the various processes, second is academic knowledge and presentation, and the third focal point centers on building a positive working relationship with students. If not enough attention and/or thought is put into any one of these areas the program falters. It takes strength, organization, knowledge, experience, patience, wisdom, focused energy and love to make a learning environment and its inhabitants successful and productive. Lots can go wrong; the ideal is not always realized. I choose to take the daily challenge of being a sensitive, flexible, problem solver working towards the ideal. |
